Contract Term: 12 months+ (long term preferred)

Pay: $35 – $40 per hour (depending on experience)

Days & Hours

3 days per week

• Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:00am – 10:00am and 3:00pm – 6:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:00am – 10:00am and 3:00pm – 6:00pm

About the Family

A loving and inclusive rainbow family based in Petersham, NSW are seeking a nurturing, attentive and active nanny to support them on an ongoing basis. You will be caring for their 4 year old son who is very active, loves playing soccer, running around and engaging with the world around him. This is a warm, open-minded household that values kindness, curiosity and respect for diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
The family also has an older Staffy named Olive, who is with them part-time and may occasionally require minimal attention.

The Role

• Walking to and from school and to activities
• Assisting with homework
• Engaging in active play (soccer, outdoor play, running around, etc.)
• Preparing evening meals for the child most days and baking snacks
• Occasional meal preparation for the whole family
• On one day per week:
• General household tidying
• Laundry, and ironing if possible
• Collecting dry cleaning

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a nanny or in a childcare-related role
• Childcare qualification preferred
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working With Children Check
• Driver’s licence (own car preferred but not essential — family vehicle available if required)
• Non-smoker
• Basic cooking skills
• Comfortable around dogs
