An active and busy family in Clovelly are seeking two experienced and loving night nannies to assist with the overnight care of their newborn baby girl (due date 8th January 2025). They also have a 2-year-old little boy who has his own nanny.

The family’s ideal nannies will be warm, positive, calm, and organised. Levelheaded, easy going, active, and happy to take the baby outdoors for walks and activities.

 

Able to arrive in the evening and bath the baby, prepare her bedtime bottle, sing/read to her, soothe, and then settle her to sleep. Then provide all overnight care including bottles, nappies and settling.

Someone who can assist the baby with unhurried ongoing sleep training and routines and ensure she is well cared for and lovingly treated.

Reliability, great communication skills, and professionalism are also valued. (Strong English skills are required for great communication).

The family have a 6-year-old Golden Doodle so must be comfortable around dogs.

Newborn and night nanny experience essential for this role.

 

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

  • To supervise the baby
  • Follow the baby’s routines
  • Providing overnight care including bathing, bottle preparation and feeding, nappies, and settling
  • Light household duties – i.e. keeping the baby’s environment tidy and hygienic, bottle cleaning
  • Meal preparation for the baby

Start date: 10th January 2025

Contract length: 6 months with the possibility to extend through until 30th September 2025

Pay: $45 – $50 ph plus super. Benefits to be advised.

 

The days and normal hours are – 7 days

Monday – Sunday                       6pm – 6am (10am finish preferred)

Days to be shared between two nannies.

Possible arrangements:-

Monday – Thursday, and Friday – Sunday

or Monday – Friday, and Saturday – Sunday.

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years nanny / childcare experience
  • Must have newborn and night nanny experience
  • Background in nursing/infant first aid preferred
  • Have a current first aid certificate
  • Have a current Working with Children Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English to a very high standard
  • Non-smoker / vaper
  • Confident preparing food for babies
  • Spanish speaker preferred but not essential
  • Swimming preferred but not essential
