A friendly, professional family in Croydon South, VIC are seeking a calm, nurturing and responsible nanny to assist in the care of their 6 month old baby boy.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/new born babies (under 1 year) is highly important for this role.
The nanny must be comfortable with at least one parent working from home.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage in age-appropriate activities to assist in the baby’s development
- Take the baby out for walks or to activities
- Assist with light household duties: keeping main areas clean and tidy, a quick vacuum/mop, unloading/stacking the dishwasher, child’s laundry, tidy of toys/babies room. Any extra assistance you can provide the family will be greatly appreciated.
Start date: Mid July 2024
6 month contract initially
Pay: From $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours are:- 2-3 days
Initially two days, then moving to three days after the first three months (negotiable for the right candidate)
Monday 8.00am -5.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am -5.00pm
Friday 8.00am -5.00pm
Initially for the first 2 days it would be a Mon and either a Tues or Fri.
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 5+ years’ experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- Non-smoking
- Up to date with all vaccinations
- Comfortable with dogs (the family have 2 cavoodles)
