Full Time Nanny Job in Cammeray

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experienceA wonderful opportunity for an experienced and nurturing nanny to join a professional and loving family in Cammeray.This is a full-time role (5 days per week), caring for a 1 year old boy and this will suit someone with experience caring for children of this age.The normal days are: 5 days per week, 47.5 hours

  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 5.30pm

An ideal nanny would be warm and caring who values education, responsibility, and nurturing care.

The role is full time, 5 days a week for the initial 6 months and then may drop down to part time, a few days a week thereafter should the nanny be available to do so.

The family consists of two young professionals with demanding white-collar careers who place great importance on their child’s education. They strongly believe in the significance of family, friendship, love, and respect.

As well as care for the little one, when time permits other tasks will include laundry, meal prep, keeping the kitchen tidy, and general household maintenance.
Outdoor walks and engaging activities are encouraged to support the little ones development.

The parents are fluent in English, Mandarin, and Japanese; however, the nanny is only required to speak English.

The family offers separate furnished accommodation for those interested in a live-in position. If this option is preferred, a revised salary package will be negotiated accordingly.

The carers responsibilities for this role will be as follows:

  • To care for the little one and follow his routine
  • Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby’s development
  • Take the child outdoors for fresh air and exercise
  • Prepare and cook the child’s snacks and meals
  • General tidying up after the baby and light household chores including laundry and light housework

The family’s expectations from their nanny are:

  • 2+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Baby / toddler experience
  • Display strong communication skills and speaks English
  • While not essential, proficiency in Mandarin would be a welcomed asset.
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Working With Children’s Check
  • Non smoking
