Location: Gladesville, Sydney
Start date: 5 May 2025 (Flexible)
Contract term: At least until the end of the year, with the opportunity to continue into 2026 for the right person
Pay: $40 per hour

A kind and fun-loving family in Gladesville is seeking an energetic, engaging, and experienced nanny to care for their two children: a 4-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl. The family is looking for someone who can become a valued extension of their home life.

Days and Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

• Monday: 7:15 am – 5:30 pm
• Tuesday: 7:15 am – 5:30 pm
• Thursday: 7:15 am – 5:30 pm (Flexible – please see below**)
• Friday: 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm (Flexible – please see below**)

**For the Thursday it can be a full day if the nanny is happy to do some light house assistance related to the kids (eg. kids washing, kids room tidy). Or if nanny prefers hours could be 7:15-9:15 and 2:30-5:30pm. For Friday, flexibility to do mornings as well (7:15am-9:15am) would be great (not essential).

About You

The family would love to welcome a nanny who is:

• Energetic and warm, with a kind and calm presence
• Self-motivated, proactive, and organised
• Fluent in English (as a first language, preferred)
• Ability to manage and prioritise daily routines and tasks

 

Responsibilities & A Typical Day

 

• Prepare the children’s lunchboxes in the morning
• School and preschool drop-offs (school is walking distance; preschool is a short 5-minute drive)
• Fun and engaging activities with the younger child (park, library, play centre, etc.)
• Grocery shopping and light errands
• School pick-ups and afternoon play (reading, LEGO, sport, etc.)
• Attending nearby activities such as swimming, tennis, and soccer
• Light housework related to the children (e.g. tidying, kids’ laundry)
• Occasional family meal prep (not essential)

 

Requirements

 

• 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
• Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
• Have a current Working With Children’s Check
• Display strong communication skills and speak English
• Non smoking
• Confident driver with a full drivers license and clean driving record
• Comfortable with a golden retriever (occasional feeding, no walking required)
