A loving and professional family in Lane Cove are seeking a friendly and nurturing nanny to assist with the care of their happy and energetic 13-month-old baby girl.
Someone who is loving and encouraging and genuinely happy to engage in fun and educational indoor and outdoor play, games, activities, music and reading that will support the baby’s growth and development.
A typical day would include preparing meals and snacks for the baby, transporting and accompanying her to morning activities i.e. Gymbaroo, Baby Sensory Classes, playgroups etc., and actively engaging her throughout the day (no screen time).
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To supervise the baby
- Follow the baby’s routines
- Engage with the baby through fun and educational play and activities
- Light household duties – i.e. cleaning up after the baby, laundry for the baby, vacuuming
- Cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the baby
- Transporting to morning activities i.e. Gymbaroo, playgroups etc.
- Occasional grocery shopping and errands
Start date: 13th January 2025 (Trialing will commence prior to January)
Contract length: Permanent / long term / 12 months +
Pay: $40 ph plus super and benefits
Note: Full driver’s licence required (to drive family vehicle)
The days and normal hours are – 5 days – 50 hours per week
Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm
Additional hours can be offered on evenings and weekends with prior arrangement
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- Must have a minimum of 3 years nanny / childcare experience with the same age
- Have a current first aid certificate
- Have a current Working with Children Check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English to a high level
- Full licence / clean driving record (no provisional licence) to use family car
- Able to prepare and cook healthy meals for the baby
- Speaking French would be a bonus
- Able to swim
- Non-smoker / vaper
