An ideal nanny will be caring and nurturing, experienced and most importantly attentive to ensure the little baby is safe. The family would like a nanny that is fun and can plan, engage age appropriate activities. The nanny must have prior experience as a nanny or have worked in childcare caring for a young baby. You will need to be able to follow the baby’s routine and assist with lighthouse hold duties if time permits.


The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

  • To care for baby
  • Follow the baby’s routine
  • Play and engage age appropriate activities
  • Take the baby out on outings/walks to the local parks/playground
  • Assist with some light household duties i.e. keeping the main areas of the house tidy, clearing toys etc
  • Family Laundry
  • Be able to cook a basic meal for the family if time permits



Start date: ASAP

Contract Length: Contract: 6  months – permanent with the possibility to extend

Pay: From $30-35 per hour depending on experience

The days and normal hours are –  5 days  – 45 hours

Monday         8.00am – 5.00pm

Tuesday        8.00am – 5.00pm

Wednesday    8.00am – 5.00pm

Thursday       8.00am – 5.00pm

Friday            8.00am – 5.00pm

Some flexibility in hours would be greatly appreciated especially while the family is settling into life in Australia and new jobs.

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years nanny/child care experience
  • Childcare qualification (Preferred)
  • To have a driver’s licence and be a confident driver
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current working with children’s check number
  • Display strong communication skills
  • Non Smoker
  • Nurturing and Calm
  • Fit, Active and Healthy
  • Baby experience
