Pay: $35-40 per hour

Hours and Days

4 days per week (1 Full Day and 3 Afternoon/Evenings)

  • Monday & Wednesday & Thursday: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Flexibility in the hours on this day for the right candidate)

 

About the Role

A busy and loving family in Manly is looking for a warm, patient, and engaging nanny to provide care for their two children (aged 7 and 3). The role focuses (though not limited to) on after-school care, meal preparation, homework help, and light housework to keep the household running smoothly. There is 1 full day with the younger child on a Tuesday.

Your Responsibilities & Typical Day

 

General Duties:

 

  • 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
  • Caring for two children (ages 7 & 3)
  • Helping with homework and school-related tasks
  • Taking the children to activities (3x per week)
  • Cooking meals (noodles, lasagna, curry etc)
  • Light housework, including kids’ laundry & linen

 

A Typical Day Might Include:

 

  • Afternoon school pick-up & transport to activities (as needed)
  • Homework supervision & educational play
  • Engaging activities & playtime
  • Dinner preparation & mealtime assistance
  • Evening wind-down, including bath & bedtime prep
  • Light tidying up and managing kids’ laundry

 

Expectations

 

  • 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Working With Children’s Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speaks English
  • Experience working with young children
  • Confident cook – able to prepare simple meals
  • Organised and proactive mindset
  • Non smoking
  • Comfortable riding a bike for transport needs
