Miami, QLD Part Time Nanny

Start date: Feb 2025

Contract – 12+ months long term preferred

Pay: From $35-40 per hour depending on experience

A professional and loving family in Miami, QLD are seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for their 2 children (2 yr old girl and 10 month old baby boy).

The days and normal hours are – 2 days per week

Monday and Tuesday 8.00am -4.00pm

A nanny who is engaging, bubbly, fun to be around but also nurturing, warm-hearted, calm and patient.

A nanny who can structure their day, follow the children’s routines and provide fun, creative and stimulating indoor and outdoor activities that will assist in the children’s development. Looking for someone who loves their role as a nanny and has a positive outlook on life.

A nanny who values children’s safety, is trustworthy, reliable, adaptive and able to form a special bond with the whole family and stay on a long-term basis.

Prior experience with children under 2 years of age is highly important for this role.

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –

To care for the children
Follow the children’s routine
Play and engage with the children
Take the children to activities, i.e. playground, walks and to the park/playgrounds
Light household duties – cleaning up after meals for the children, grocery shopping (time permitting), cleaning up children’s play areas and rooms, children laundry
Help prep/cook prepare healthy meals for the children and where possible, the whole family

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny or childcare experience
Have a current first aid certificate
Have a current Blue Card
Display strong communication skills and speak English
Child safety practices
Basic cooking skills and food safety
Able to swim
Musical ability a plus ( Not essential) – (Family have a piano keyboard and the toddler loves music)
Comfortable with animals – The family have a 3 year old golden retriever – Does not require walking or feeding.
