Mosman, Sydney Afternoon Nanny/House Manager

Pay: From $35 per hour depending on experience (Negotiable for the right candidate)A busy professional family in Mosman Sydney are seeking an experienced, engaging and reliable nanny/house manager to assist in the care of their home and 2 children (6 year old girl and 10 year old boy).

Normal days: 5 days per week
Days & hours are:
Monday to Friday 1pm -6pm
Additional hours may be offered from time to time ie evenings and weekends.

An ideal that has great energy, fun ideas, who enjoys a laugh and, while taking the role seriously, doesn’t take themselves too seriously. Be interested to actively engage in indoor and outdoor activities with the 6 yr old in the afternoons (occasionally the 10 yr old may wish to join in) and be able to follow routines.

Also a the nanny will be professional, thoroughly reliable, pro-active, organised, feels a sense of “ownership” in the family, the home and children, and is capable of getting things done.

The family would like the nanny to become a valued member of the family staying on a long term basis,

Prior experience/professional qualifications working with/or deep interest in working with neuro-diverse children would be appropriate.

The carers responsibilities for this role will be as follows:

  • To care for the children
  • Follow the children’s routine
  • Pick up the children from school or after activities. The younger child may need to be taken to appointments and to after school activites,
  • Play and engage with the children, fun activities (inc at the beach, park, or playing in the backyard)
  • Daily household tasks of general tidying, clearing of services , unstacking/loading of dishwasher, tidying children’s rooms and making beds
  • Prepare and cook “QuiteLike” meals 4 times per week. These are meal boxes delivered with all ingredients measured out and simply require mixing and cooking! Takes 30mins.
  • Weekly tasks of laundry folding / iron & hang, and back in wardrobes and preparing and making of lunch box treats for the week
  • Home work assistance occasionally

The family’s expectations from their nanny are:

  • 5+ years of experience as a nanny/house hold manager
  • Childcare qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Have a current first aid certificate
  • Have a current Working With Children’s Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speaks English
  • Non smoking
  • Able to swim both in the pool and ocean
  • Able to cook/prepare meals
  • Full drivers license, clean driving record and own car (Kms and petrol to be reimbursed)
