Commitment: Ideally minimum 6 months, preferably longer
Pay: From $40-45 per hour (Kms and petrol to be reimbursed for own car use)
Hours and Days
3 afternoons per week
Ideally:
- Monday 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Tuesday 4:00 pm – 8:15 pm
- Thursday 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
About the Family
A warm and caring family based in Bondi Beach, NSW is seeking an energetic, kind and engaging nanny to support their two children aged 7 and 4 years old.
The family is looking for someone who genuinely loves working with children and has a strong interest in child development and neurodivergent care. They would ideally love to find someone who works professionally in childcare or is currently studying within the field.
Their 7-year-old son has Level 2 Autism and benefits from a calm, patient and understanding caregiver who can support his emotional regulation and strong personality with kindness and consistency. He is energetic, active and bonds best through movement and play — especially handball, soccer and outdoor activities.
The Role
This role involves a mix of childcare, routine support and light household assistance during the afternoon and evening period.
Typical duties include:
- Picking up the 4-year-old daughter from daycare in Bondi
- Taking her to the park or playground
- Preparing healthy dinners for the children
- Supporting homework where required
- Assisting with bath, shower and bedtime routines
- Engaging the children in active, playful and educational interactions
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive routines
The parents are looking for someone who is fully present and engaged with the children — enthusiastic, playful, curious and genuinely interested in helping children learn and grow.
Driving
Driving is required occasionally for activities, including:
- Tuesday rugby training at Waverley Park Oval
- Thursday jujitsu in Bondi Junction
The nanny must:
- Hold a full driver’s licence
- Have their own reliable car
Household Support
Light household assistance includes:
- Folding washing
- Packing away toys and clothes
- Wiping tables and tidying surfaces
- Keeping shared areas tidy

Sporting ability and swimming confidence would be highly welcomed.
Requirements
- 3+ years childcare experience and previous experience working with neurodivergent children preferred
- Childcare qualifications or studies highly regarded
- Current Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Full driver’s licence and own car
- Strong English communication skills
- Non-smoker
