A lovely and busy family in Bondi are looking for an experienced, nurturing, active and fun carer for their 2 boys (curious, cheeky and lively 2 year old and a smiley easy going 8 month old).  The older boy is in day care 2 days a week (Monday / Tuesday).

We are looking for a nanny who is passionate about children, who can provide a loving and nurturing environment for the children to thrive in, who is well presented and a good role model for the children. The family’s ideal nanny will be a calm, caring, creative, active and interested in the world around them as well as clean and tidy. A nanny who has experience caring for babies and toddlers. Someone who can follow the boy’s established routines as well as develop routines for the baby. Someone who understands different developmental stages and support both children’s development simultaneously.

The nanny’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows 

  • Care for the 2 Children
  • Follow Children’s routines
  • Take out to activities in the morning
  • Drop off and pick up from day care once relationship with older child well established
  • Engage with the children, play and read.
  • Walks to the park, beach or playground in the afternoons
  • Cook meals and snacks for the children
  • Run errands when required
  • Grocery shopping when required
  • Light household duties and general tidying up after the children
  • Family Laundry

Start date:  1 April 2020 (or if earlier if available)

Contract:  Permanent ongoing long term position  

Pay:  $32-36p/h including super depending on experience  

Note:  Full Drivers license required

(To drive the family vehicle or your own vehicle – family vehicle is a manual)    

The days and normal hours are  46 – 57.5 hours (depending on nanny’s preference)

 

Monday      7.00am – 6.30pm

Tuesday      7.00am – 6.30pm

Wednesday 7.00am – 6.30pm

Thursday     7.00am – 6.30pm

Friday          7.00am – 6.30pm (Optional if nanny would only like 4 days)

The family’s expectations from their nanny are 

  • Diploma in early childhood
  • Worked in both in a child care centre and as a nanny (preferred)
  • Experience or knowledge of Montesorri approach preferred but not essential
  • Be willing to commit with the view to staying long term with the family
  • Has experience in planning fun and age appropriate activities for children
  • Experience working with babies and toddlers
  • Be well presented with a neat and tidy appearance
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current working with children’s check number
  • Display strong communication skills
  • Clean driving record
