Afterschool Care Nanny – Fairlight, NSW

Start Date: Early April
Contract Term: Minimum 12 months (long-term preferred)
Pay: $45 per hour

A busy, fun and active family in Fairlight, NSW is looking for a reliable and upbeat nanny to support their two school-aged children (Aged 11 and 7yrs). This is a long-term role for someone who enjoys being part of a family, can juggle the afternoons smoothly, and loves helping a household run well.

Days & Hours

• After School care: 2-3 days
  • Monday: 2.00 pm – 7.00pm (Optional)
  • Tuesday: 1.00/2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Thursday: 1.00/2:00 pm – 7:00 pm

  Additional mornings between Tue-Thur are available if this fits the nannies schedule and also option for more hours to be added in the week if the nanny is happy to offer some additional household chores support ie laundry. Some flexibility in these ‘child-free hours’

About the Role

This role is a mix of school pick-ups, after-school activities, meal prep and light household support. Afternoons are busy and varied, so the ideal nanny is organised, flexible and happy to take initiative.
Driving is required, but a family car is provided.

Responsibilities

• School and activity drop off and pick-ups
• Monday: Soccer pickup at 5:15 pm
• Tuesday: Jiu Jitsu pickup at 4:45 pm
• Thursday: Tennis pickup at 5:30 pm
• Supporting homework and unpacking school bags/lunch boxes
• Preparing and cooking healthy, nutritious family dinners
• Bath time and evening routines
• Light household tasks:
• Unpacking dishwasher
• Keeping kitchen organised
• Tidying kids’ rooms and toys (encouraging kids to help)
• Walking the family dog occasionally

The Ideal Nanny

• Friendly, fun and engaging
• Organised, tidy and proactive
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities
• Confident guiding homework and routines
• Experienced with children of similar ages
• Enjoys cooking healthy family meals
• Musical instrument skills would be a welcomed bonus (both children play the piano), and someone who is happy to kick a ball around with the children would be lovely, though neither is essential.

Pets

The family has a young staffy — very social, loving and playful dog.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience working as nanny with similar aged children or in a child care related role
• Valid Working with Children’s Check
• Valid First Aid and CPR
• Full Drivers licence and clean driving record
• Non Smoking
