We are seeking a mature, nurturing and calm nanny to assist a busy family in Gledswood Hills. The nanny will be responsible to care for 2 very happy, active and energetic 1 year old twin boys.
An ideal nanny will be nurturing and calm with a positive/bubbly personality. Will need to be mature, responsible and reliable. Must be fit and active, enjoy sports and have an interest in health. Looking for a nanny that has experience with twins or children very close in age. The family are wanting the nanny to join them long term and be able to treat the twins like their own. Having a child care qualification would be advantageous.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows
- Care for the children
- Provide routine and structure
- Provide age appropriate and educational activities for the children
- Assist with light household duties i.e tidying up after the boys (toys packed away/wiping down the high chairs / boy’s hands or face after meals), vacuuming around traffic areas, wiping down kitchen bench / kitchen tables
- Laundry for the family and children -put on a load and hang out to dry
- Run errands (occasionally)
- Cook for the children and meal prep for the family occasionally however main priority is the boys
Start date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months – potential to extend
Pay: From $26-30 per hour depending on experience
Note: Full drivers licence required
The days and normal hours over 2-3 days – 20-30 hours
Monday 7.00am – 5.00pm
Tuesday 7.00am – 5.00pm
Friday 7.00am – 5.00pm
Flexible for either 2 or 3 days.
The family’s expectation will be as follows
- 3-5 years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Experience with twins or children close in age
- Child care qualification (preferred)
- Nurturing, calm and positive/bubbly personality
- Enjoy sports
- Motivated and reliable
- Speak Fluent English (First Language)
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Display strong communication skills
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Full Drivers Licence and clean driving record
