Warm, Reliable Nanny/House Manager Needed – Avoca Beach, NSW

Location: Avoca Beach, NSW
Start Date: Early June 2025
Contract Term: 1 year+ (with the hope to continue long-term)
Pay: $40-45 per hour (Depending on experience)

Days and Hours:

 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • (School holiday schedule: longer full-day care, ~8:30 am – 7:00 pm)
  • Weekends also available if this suits the nannies schedule

A loving family looking for a dedicated, playful and emotionally intelligent nanny / house manager to support their transition to life in Avoca Beach on the Central Coast, NSW (Arriving from the UK early June). This is an opportunity to become part of the family’s rhythm, helping their twin boys (6 years of age) settle into a new school and supporting their wellbeing through structured care, fun, and gentle boundaries.

About You:

✔️ Experienced with primary school-aged children
✔️ Confident driver with own vehicle
✔️ Basic cooking skills (no pork – dietary restriction)
✔️ Flexible and open to long-term commitment

Responsibilities and Typical Day:

Weekdays (school term):

  • Arrive at the home before school pick-up to handle light housework, laundry, and meal prep
  • Pick the boys up from school and bring them home
  • Help with homework, playtime, dinner, bath time, and wind-down routines
  • Keep the boys’ environment tidy and assist with errands (e.g. putting away grocery deliveries)

School Holidays:

  • Full-day care from 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
  • Involve the boys in creative, stimulating activities and age-appropriate adventures

Weekends:

  • Occasional weekend support – engaging the boys in fun outings, activities, or home play
  • Prepare and supervise lunch or light meals

 

Bonus:

The family would love a nanny who can:

  • Offer support during their transition to Australia
  • Recommend local kid-friendly groups or community meet-ups
  • Be part of our wider support network as they settle in

 

Expectations:

 

  • 5+ years of experience as a nanny/house manager
  • Childcare qualifications preferred – but we welcome experienced nannies with strong references even without formal qualifications.
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Have a current Working With Children’s Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English
  • Non smoking
  • Full drivers license and own car (Kms and petrol to be reimbursed)
