Part-Time Nanny – Kogarah, NSW

Start Date: 1 February 2026
Pay: From $40-45 per hour depending on experience
Long-term role (minimum 2 years ideal)

A friendly, close-knit family in Kogarah, NSW is looking for a kind, reliable and enthusiastic nanny to support their youngest child (9yrs of age), during the after-school hours. This role would suit someone who enjoys being part of a busy family environment and is looking for a long-term position where they can build a genuine bond with a child.

Days & Hours

 

  • Monday: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

 

The Ideal Nanny

The family is looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, friendly and kind
  • Reliable, competent and organised
  • Enthusiastic and proactive, with good initiative
  • Confident supporting homework and routines
  • Happy to be involved in cooking and everyday family life

An interest in sport would be a bonus, as the child loves being active.

Responsibilities

 

  • Running light errands before school pick-up when starting at 2pm
  • Preparing afternoon tea and snacks
  • Collecting the child from school at 3pm
  • Taking him to the park or playing games at home
  • Supporting homework
  • Encouraging tidying and helping the child build independence
  • Involving the child in cooking and basic meal preparation
  • Light dinner prep before finishing the shift
  • Light household tasks such as laundry, shopping and small errands

 

Requirements

 

  • 3+ years experience working with school-aged children
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Full driver’s licence and own car (Kms and petrol to be reimbursed)
  • Current Working with Children’s check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of family privacy

 

About the Family

This is a warm, active family of five with two older brothers. They value kindness, mindfulness and helping one another around the home. Evenings are often spent talking about the day together, usually with a cup of tea. The children are friendly, social and enjoy staying active.
