We are seeking a nurturing and calm mother’s helper/nanny to assist a busy family in Lugarno. The nanny will be responsible to assist Mum with their newborn baby boy and also occasionally their 3 year old boy.

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows
- Care for the children
- Provide routine and structure
- Assist with age appropriate education and activities
- Pick up and drop off’s from day care when required
- Take the children out on outings/activities, i.e. playdates, park, library etc
- Assist with light household duties e.g general tidying up after the children and keeping the main areas of the house tidy
- Prepare and cook meals
- Laundry (wash, fold and put away)
- Grocery shopping (occasionally)
Start date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months – potential to extend
Pay: $30-35 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours over 4 days – 40 hours
(Can look to be flexible on days and times for the right candidate )
Tuesday 8.00am – 6.00pm
Wednesday8.00am – 6.00pm
Thursday 8.00am – 6.00pm
Friday 8.00am – 6.00pm
** Hours might change occasionally and also if Mum returns to full time work next year. Some weekend evenings might be required.
** Flexibility is a must for this role and available over Xmas/New Year
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- Experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Recent experience with the 0-3 age group
- Child care qualification or studying towards (preferred)
- Have a current first aid /baby first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Nurturing, calm , fun, kind/warm personality
- Motivated and reliable
- Can speak a second language (preferred though not essential)
- Display strong communication skills
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Clean and tidy appearance
- Experience cooking
- Be able to swim
- Full drivers licence and clean driving record
