After-School Nanny / Household Support – Naremburn

Permanent/Long Term Role
Pay From $40 per hour
Hours and Days:
3 – 5 afternoons per week (Will consider a nanny for 3-4 afternoons per week)

  • Monday- Friday preferred 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Additional hours available in the morning if this suits the nannies schedul

About the Family

A warm and welcoming family based in Naremburn, NSW is seeking a positive, organised and reliable nanny to support their household and assist with after-school care for their two daughters, including a 7-year-old and a 19-month-old.
The family values curiosity, learning and encouraging their children to ask questions and explore the world around them. They are looking for someone who can bring a calm, capable and supportive presence into their afternoons and become a trusted part of the family routine.

The Role

This role is a combination of after-school care and household support, with approximately half of the role focused on light household duties and meal preparation while the eldest child is still at school.
A typical afternoon may include:

  • Meal preparation before school pick-up
  • Light household tasks and tidying
  • Picking up the eldest child (7 years old) from Redlands Junior Campus
  • Driving her to activities or home
  • Assisting with homework direction and encouragement
  • Supporting Mum during the evening routine
  • Helping serve dinner and assist with the children as needed

There will be limited direct care of the youngest child, as she will generally be in daycare or with Mum.

Household Duties

 

  • Meal preparation
  • General tidying and organisation
  • Laundry and light household upkeep
  • Helping maintain a smooth-running household

 

Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who is:

  • Positive, warm and proactive
  • Organised and capable of managing afternoon routines
  • Comfortable balancing childcare and household support
  • Experienced with primary school-aged children
  • Reliable and calm under pressure
  • Confident taking initiative around the home

A “teacher-like” personality and a genuine interest in supporting children’s development would be highly valued.

Requirements

 

  • 3+ years Previous nanny or childcare experience
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Full driver’s licence – Own car preferred (family can provide car seat)/ Family vehicle available if required (BYD Atto 3 automatic)
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Non-smoker

Portuguese speaking would be a bonus, though not essential.
