Afternoon Family Nanny – North Fremantle, WA

Contract Term: 12 months+ ongoing
Pay: $35–45 per hour depending on experience

Hours & Days:

4 days per week

• Monday – Thursday
• 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm

About the Family

A warm, welcoming and experienced nanny family based in North Fremantle, WA is seeking a calm, capable and organised nanny to support their busy household and care for their four children aged 13, 12, 10 and 7 years old. The family has previously had several long-term nannies and au pairs who have become lifelong family friends, and they truly value having someone become a trusted and respected part of the household.
They are looking for someone who can confidently step into a supportive “mum-type” role during the afternoons and evenings — helping the home run smoothly while providing guidance, warmth and structure for the children.

The Role

This is a busy but rewarding afternoon role supporting school-aged children and helping manage the flow of family life.
A typical afternoon may include:

• School pick-ups
• Driving children to after-school activities when required
• Assisting with homework and organisation
• Preparing easy family dinners
• Planning school lunches, sandwiches and snacks
• Supporting evening and bedtime routines for the youngest child
• Helping children prepare for the next school day

The family values respectful communication, consistency and someone who can confidently maintain boundaries and expectations with the children while building strong, trusting relationships with them.

Household Duties

The role includes light household support primarily related to the children and keeping the household running smoothly through the week, including:

• Keeping shared spaces tidy
• Children’s laundry and hanging washing
• Ensuring bedrooms and school items are organised
• Preparing school uniforms and shoes for the next day
• Tidying after dinner

This is not a heavy housekeeping role, but rather a proactive family support position.

Driving

• Full driver’s licence essential
• Family vehicle provided
• Driving for school pick-ups and activities required

Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who is:

• Happy, calm and organised
• Confident managing multiple children
• Warm while also able to maintain structure and routines
• Proactive and capable using their initiative
• Experienced supporting school-aged children and homework
• A confident swimmer

French language skills would be viewed as a wonderful bonus, though certainly not essential.

Requirements

• 3+ years Previous nanny experience with multiple children preferred
• Childcare qualifications ideal, though backgrounds in teaching, education support or university studies would also be highly regarded
• Current Working With Children Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Full driver’s licence and clean driving record
• Strong communication skills
• Non-smoker
