A warm and close knit family in North Ryde, NSW are seeking a professional, caring nanny to support them with the care of their two young daughters (Aged 1 yr & 5yrs).
The parents are very involved and value spending quality time together as a family. They aim to create a calm, simple home environment where the children feel supported, nurtured and encouraged to explore.
The family are looking for someone who will bring genuine care and warmth to the role, someone who enjoys engaging with children rather than simply completing routines or tasks.

Typical Day

The role will involve caring primarily for the youngest child during the day while the older child attends daycare.
The nanny will help with feeding, playtime, naps, and creating engaging activities. The baby is active and curious, so the family are looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and attentive.
The nanny is required to do daycare drop off and pickup for the eldest child and support the afternoon routine for both children.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, nurturing care for the children
• Supporting feeding, naps and daily routines
• Engaging the children in age-appropriate play and activities
• Taking the child out for walks to the park and outdoor activities
• Basic meal preparation for the children (heating meals, cutting fruit, simple pasta, toasties etc.)
• Assisting with daycare pickup when required
• Light household tasks related to the children when time permits (dishwasher, laundry, tidying toys, cleaning kitchen after use)

Children will always be the priority, with household tasks only completed when appropriate.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children
• Experience caring for two children at once
• Childcare qualifications preferred
• Current Working with Children’s check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Confident and experienced driver with a full drivers licence (Family car available for day care pick up) – Can use public transport until familiar with the area.
• Strong communication skills
• Non Smoker
