⏳ Long Term Role | ⌛ Hours: 4 days per weekA professional and supportive family in Melbourne’s CBD are seeking an experienced, energetic, and engaging nanny to care for their daughter, aged 10 years. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nanny with strong tutoring abilities and a passion for supporting children’s growth and confidence — both academically and personally.
The role will involve a balance of after-school care, academic support, and encouragement in the young girls sporting activities, along with building a strong, positive relationship with her.

Days and Hours

 

  • Monday: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Thursday: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

 

Responsibilities & Typical Day

 

  • School pick-up and drop-off to tennis and swimming
  • Provide healthy snacks and occasional simple meals
  • Supervise and support homework and revision (English & Maths highly desirable)
  • Help the child develop study habits, organisational skills, and a growth mindset
  • Encourage fun, creative play and engaging activities
  • Support the child with her cello and guitar practice (if skilled, not essential)
  • Keep her bedroom and study/play area tidy and organised
  • Provide warm, consistent care while also motivating and encouraging her to reach her potential

 

About You

The ideal nanny will be:

  • Experienced with pre-teens/teenage girls (5+ years as a nanny or tutor preferred)
  • Fun, engaging, and energetic, while also able to set boundaries kindly
  • Encouraging, positive, and confident in supporting schoolwork and revision
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive — a great role model for the child
  • Ideally in their mid to late 20s, though open to experienced candidates outside this

 

Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience as a nanny and/or tutor
  • Strong academic support skills (English & Maths)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Confident swimmer
  • Full driver’s licence (own car helpful; family car available if required)
  • Non-smoker
  • Fluent English and strong communication skills
