Part-Time Nanny – Redfern, NSW

Pay: From $40 per hour (Depending on experience)

A busy, loving family in Redfern is looking for an experienced, reliable and engaging nanny to care for their daughter (Aged 4 yrs old). This is a wonderful long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong connections with children and becoming part of a family’s routine for years to come.

Days & Hours

• Wednesday: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm (alternate Wednesdays)
• Thursday: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
• Friday: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
• Saturday: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm (alternate Saturdays)

Ideal Nanny

The family is seeking someone who is:

• Warm, patient and kind
• Active and genuinely enjoys engaging with children
• Reliable and organised
• Interested in growing with the family over several years

Responsibilities

• Collecting the child from preschool
• Preparing and offering snacks (cut fruit, simple food prep)
• Engaging the child in fun, age-appropriate activities such as:
• Park visits
• Swimming
• Arts and crafts
• Reading and imaginative play
• Providing calm, attentive care during evening routines on Saturday nights
• Light household tasks related to the child, including:
• Tidying kitchen and play areas after use
• Assisting with the child’s laundry occasionally
• Small errands when needed (e.g. grabbing milk)

Requirements

• 3 + years working in childcare or as a nanny
• Childcare qualifications (Preferred)
• Working with Children’s Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Experience caring for children of a similar age
• Comfortable committing to a long-term role
• Swimming ability preferred (The child loves swimming)
• Full Drivers licence and clean driving record ( Own car is preferred) – No driving required initially, but swimming lessons and other activities may move to weekday afternoons in the future
• Non Smoker
