Part Time Nanny Job in Burleigh Waters
Start date: ASAP
Contract: 6+ months long term preferred
Pay: $45 per hour
A loving family in Burleigh Waters, QLD are seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for their children aged 4 (G), 2 (B) and newborn baby girl.
The days and normal hours are – 2 days per week
Mondays 2.00 pm to 6.30pm
Fridays 3.00pm to 6.30pm
Sometime a later finish on Fridays will be requested so that parents can have an evening out, subject to the nannies availability.
Mum is on parental leave so will be around to help but does want to use the time to get spend time with the older children and get on top of things. Therefore we are looking for a nanny who is very confident with babies as well as pre-school age children.
The nanny will at times be required to pick the older children up from Kindergarten and daycare or run some errands so a valid driveres licnce will be required for this position. The family car will be made available for these trips..
A nanny who values children’s safety, is trustworthy, reliable, adaptive and able to form a special bond with the whole family and stay on a long-term basis.
The family have a 6 year old Golden Retriever, who will not need to be cared for.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
To care for all the children, but with the help of Mum who will mainly be in the house
Follow the children’s routine
Play and engage with the children
Take the children to activities, i.e. playground, walks and to the park/playgrounds
Light household duties – tidying and clearing, dishes, vacuum, make children’s beds (The family have a fortnighly cleaner)
Help prep/cook meals for the children
Children’s laundry
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny or childcare experience
Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
Have a current Blue Card
Display strong communication skills and speak English
Child safety practices
Full driver’s license and clean driving record
Basic cooking skills and food safety
