Part-Time Nanny – Nundah, QLD

Start Date: 10 January 2026
Contract Term: 6 – 12 months initially, with the intention to extend long term for a period of 2 – 5 years
Pay: $40 per hour

A warm, responsive family in Nundah are seeking a caring, calm, and fun nanny to provide attentive and nurturing care for their 16 months old daughter. This is a beautiful long-term opportunity for a nanny who values responsive parenting and enjoys creating a loving, engaging environment for a young child.

Days & Hours – 3 days per week

 

  • Preferred days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm but are flexible for the right candidate

 

About the Role

 

  • Providing warm, responsive, and attentive care throughout the day
  • Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner for the child
  • Supporting naps, including reading books and settling
  • Engaging in and encouraging varied creative age-appropriate play, educational activities, walks, and outings
  • Nappy changes as needed
  • Bathing and evening routine support
  • Light household duties related to the child, including:
  • Child’s laundry
  • Tidying play areas and kitchen after meals
  • Grocery shopping for the child when required

Driving

 

  • Driving required
  • Full driver’s licence and own car essential
  • Transporting the child to activities as needed

 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Caring, calm, and fun nature
  • Strong experience with babies and young children
  • Confident supporting routines while responding sensitively to a child’s needs
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive
  • Comfortable working in a responsive parenting environment

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a nanny or in a childcare setting
  • Proven experience with babies and toddlers
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Non-smoker
  • Driver’s licence and own car required

  • One friendly Cavoodle dog
