Part-Time Nanny – Wollstonecraft, NSW

Contract Term: February 2026 – December 2026
Pay: $35 – $40 (negotiable for right candidate)

A warm, loving, and close-knit family in Wollstonecraft are seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to care for their two young boys aged 10 months and 3 years, with a primary focus on their youngest on Tuesdays. This role is ideal for a nanny who enjoys creating enriching experiences, supporting early learning, and becoming a trusted part of a family’s daily rhythm.

Days & Hours – 3 days per week

 

  • Tuesday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
  • Wednesday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Thursday: 2:00pm – 6:00pm

 

About the Role

 

  • Providing warm, attentive, and nurturing care
  • Planning and engaging in age-appropriate outings and activities, such as playgroups, library rhyme time, museums, parks, and playgrounds
  • Supporting daily routines, including meals, naps, and transitions
  • Preparing and/or assisting with dinner on working days
  • Afternoon dog walks (30–40 minutes) when appropriate
  • Light household support

 

Typical Week

 

  • Full Day (Tuesday):
  • Drop off and pick up for eldest and all day care of youngest. A morning outing or activity followed by lunch and a second nap. Afternoons are relaxed, often including a walk with the family dog and time at the park or playground.
  • Afternoons (Wednesday & Thursday):
  • Support with dog walking, dinner preparation, picking up both boys, and helping them settle into the afternoon and evening routine.

 

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Warm, caring, and genuinely nurturing
  • Experienced with toddlers and young children, ideally with early childhood qualifications or extensive nanny experience with children under 3
  • Attentive, proactive, and creative in planning activities
  • Loves dogs and comfortable including the family dog in outings where appropriate
  • Reliable, organised, and communicative

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a nanny or in a childcare setting
  • Childcare qualifications preferred
  • Strong experience with babies and toddlers
  • Current Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Non-smoker

 

Pets

 

  • One very well-behaved 5-year-old miniature Schnauzer (hypoallergenic), who enjoys family time and afternoon walks
