A professional and loving family in Randwick are seeking a calm, nurturing and responsible and experienced  nanny to assist in the care of their newborn baby boy (13 weeks old).

An ideal nanny would be experienced, warm, calm and nurturing. A nanny that is friendly and is happy, playful and interested to actively engage with the baby which will help the baby’s growth and development.

The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys their role as a nanny, is patient, honest, safe, clean, tidy, responsible and is able to care for the baby and household throughout the day.

Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/new born babies is highly important for this role.

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows – 

  • To care for the baby
  • Follow the baby’s routine
  • Prepare meals and snacks for the baby/Introduce solids when required
  • Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby’s  development.
  • Take the baby out for walks /park playground
  • Light household duties.. clearing, tidying, unstack/stack dishwasher. Any extra assistance you can provide the family will be greatly appreciated.
  • Wash and sterilise bottles
  • Family Laundry (wash, hang out, fold)
  • Preparation of family meals (Occasional)

Start date:  ASAP

Long Term /Permanent role 

Pay: From $35 per hour depending on experience plus super 

The days and normal hours are:- 3 days – 22.5 hours per week

Monday    8.30am – 4pm

Friday      8.30am – 4pm

Saturday  8.30am – 4pm

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

  • 5+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
  • Childcare qualification preferred
  • Young baby experience (Below 6 months of age)
  • Have a current first aid certificate
  • Have a current Working with Children’s Check
  • Display strong communication skills and speak English.
  • Non smoking
  • Up to date with all vaccinations
  • Able to cook
  • Able to swim
  • Fit, healthy and active
