Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMA loving family in Russell Lea are seeking a fun and active nanny to care for their little girl aged 2yrs old. The ideal candidate will be engaging, nurturing, and supportive in fostering independence and guiding their toddler through daily activities and transitions, including potty training.

 

About the Role

The nanny will be responsible for engaging in educational play, outings, and activities, while maintaining a structured and nurturing environment.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Take the toddler to the park and activities (e.g., swimming, time TBD)
• Engage in educational and interactive play
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Support with potty training
• Follow a structured nap routine
• Tidy up after playtime but no general housekeeping required

 

About You

The family is looking for someone who is:

• Fun, bubbly, and active, with a love for working with young children
• Encouraging of independence while providing a safe and nurturing space
• Familiar with Montessori principles or open to applying them
• Gentle in setting boundaries and guiding positive behaviour

 

Requirements

 

• Childcare qualifications required
• Driver’s license required (family car provided)
• Working With Children Check
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Comfortable around dogs (the family has a 4-year-old Labrador)
• Whooping cough vaccination (or willingness to obtain one)

 

Additional Notes

 

• The nanny will join the family before baby #2 arrives in April, allowing the toddler to build a strong bond with them
• The family is originally from Macedonia and speaks both Macedonian and English. While Macedonian language skills would be a plus, they are not essential.
• The children’s grandmother also lives with the family and will be present occasionally.
