A professional family in The Rocks, Sydney are seeking an experienced and nurturing nanny to assist in the care of their 1 year old baby girl.
The family is looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to care for the baby throughout the day and follow routines.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young babies is highly advantageous for this role.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby’s development.
- Take the baby out for walks/to the park /playground etc
- General tidying up after the baby and light household chores
- Occasionally cook a meal
Start date: ASAP
Contract: Long Term /Permanent Role
Pay: $40 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours are:- 2 -3 days – 8-12 hours per week
Ideally
Monday 11.00am -3.00pm
Wednesday 11.00am -3.00pm
Friday 11.00am -3.00pm
Flexible for the right candidate
Additional hours may be required from time to time in the evening and if the nanny is available.
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- Non smoking
- Full Drivers Licence (preferred but not essential)
