Part-Time Nanny – Greenwich, NSW

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Term: 12 Months
Pay: From $40–$45 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: 2 days per week
Hours:

Wednesday: 2.00pm – 5.00pm
Saturday: 1:00pm – 4:00pm

-The family can offer some flexibility where necessary for the right candidate.
]-Opportunities for additional shifts ie babysitting on an ad hoc basis depending on the nanny's availability.

About the Family

A warm, caring and welcoming family based in Greenwich is seeking a kind, reliable and experienced nanny to care for their happy and active 22-month-old daughter.
The family is looking for someone who enjoys working alongside parents while also being confident taking the lead and planning fun outings and activities for their toddler. They would love to find a nanny who feels like an extension of the family and develops a genuine connection with both their daughter and the wider household.
The family also has a friendly dog, so being comfortable around pets is important.

The Role

This is a lovely part-time role focused on engaging, age-appropriate care and supporting a curious toddler's development through play, outings and exploration.
A typical shift may include:

Preparing snacks and meals for the child
Getting child ready for outings and activities
Visiting local playgrounds, beaches, libraries, playgroups and community activities
Encouraging learning through play, books and conversation
Supporting independent play and development
Providing attentive and nurturing care
Assisting with the afternoon routine before handover to Mum

Household Duties

The child will always be the priority. When time permits, the family would appreciate assistance with light household duties related to the child and family, including:

Loading and unloading the dishwasher
Washing up after meals
Folding laundry
Taking out bins
General tidying of children's areas
Light household assistance during naps or independent play

There may also be the opportunity to occasionally walk the family dog if the nanny is comfortable doing so.

Requirements

3+ years experience caring for toddlers is essential
Childcare qualifications highly regarded but not essential
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Current Working With Children Check
Driver's licence and own vehicle preferred- Occasional driving to local activities such as library rhyme time, playgroups, beaches and community outings may be required
Strong communication skills
Non-smoker
