Part-Time Nanny – Figtree, NSW

Contract Term: Long Term / Permanent
Pay: From $40 per hour

Schedule: 3 days per week
Days & Hours:

Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Tuesday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Wednesday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

(Flexible on hours for the right person)

The Role

This lovely family in Figtree, NSW is seeking a warm, experienced and engaging nanny to become a valued part of their family caring for 2 children aged 2 yrs and 3 months. The primary focus of the role will be caring for their energetic 2-year-old while providing an extra pair of hands to support the family with their young baby when needed.
Dad is a stay-at-home parent and will primarily care for the baby, while Mum works from home. One parent will always be home, so the nanny will work as part of a supportive team while taking the lead in caring for the toddler. The family is looking for someone who is confident planning child-led activities, enjoys getting out into the community and can create a fun, safe and nurturing environment that encourages learning and development.

Role Responsibilities

Providing warm, attentive and engaging care for the toddler
Supporting the family with the baby when required
Planning and facilitating child-led, age-appropriate play and learning activities
Taking the toddler to local activities including the gym, music classes, parks and the discovery centre
Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children
Following the children's daily routines, including meals, naps and quiet time
Encouraging outdoor play, creativity and independence
Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
Maintaining open communication with the parents regarding the children's day and development

Driving Requirements

Full driver's licence required
Family vehicle provided
Comfortable driving the children to local activities within approximately 10 minutes of the family home

The Ideal Nanny

The family is looking for someone who is:

Highly experienced with babies and toddlers
Confident, calm and reliable
Passionate about child-led learning and play
Proactive and organised
Honest, trustworthy and professional
Fun, engaging and energetic
Interested in supporting children's development through play and everyday experiences

Musical abilities, particularly playing the guitar, or sporting interests would be a wonderful bonus, but are certainly not essential.

Household Duties

Light duties related to the children, including:

Preparing children's meals
Tidying play areas
Cleaning up after meals
Keeping children's belongings organised

Requirements

Childcare qualifications preferred
3+ years extensive experience caring for babies and toddlers
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Full driver's licence
Excellent references
Non smoking
