The Role
This role combines before and after-school care, supporting the children’s daily rhythms while nurturing their independence, wellbeing, fun, development and growth.
The nanny will assist with smooth school routines and engaging activities to support in maintaining the family’s calm and consistent routine.
A typical day may include:
• Before/after-school supervision: Support a calm morning routine, manage school
drop-offs/pick-ups, and guide gentle, reliable transition from school to home, including a
calm evening.
• Foster a safe, positive environment: Provide steady, present and facilitate activities that
sparks the children’s passions (e.g. active play, creative fun, outdoor adventures, reading,
STEM curiosity, and hands-on learning).
• Encouraging independence: Build confidence through guided school preparation (organising
bags, materials, daily readiness) and supportive homework routines.
• Household routine support: Maintain simple, reliable rhythms connected to the children’s
day, while engaging the children in preparing nutritious meals/snacks and organising their
own spaces and school items.
Household Duties
The children’s care is the priority, however, assistance with light household duties related to the children would be appreciated, including:
• Children’s spaces: Engage the children to keep play areas, bedrooms and school items tidy and organised.
Children’s laundry: Ensure uniforms and clothing are ready for the week.

The family is seeking someone who is:

preparation.

• Relevant professional background: Qualifications or studies in Occupational Therapy, Speech
Pathology, teaching, psychology, nursing, social work, childcare, or related fields are highly

Requirements
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or in a childcare related role
- Childcare qualifications preferred
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Full driver's licence and clean driving record
- Strong references
- Long-term commitment essential to provide continuity of care
