Maroubra, NSW - Part Time Nanny
Start Date: Mid August 2026 (Flexible for the right candidate)
Contract Term: Ongoing, long-term role
Pay: From $40–45 per hour plus super and entitlements depending on experience
Days: 2 days per week
Days & Hours:
- Monday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
The Role
A lovely family in Maroubra, NSW are seeking a warm, bubbly and active nanny to provide attentive care for their children, with the primary focus on their 4-year-old while mum cares for the baby(Aged 3 months). The nanny will create a fun, engaging and stimulating environment through play, outings and age-appropriate activities, while supporting the family's established routines.
The role includes taking the eldest child to her weekly activities, preparing her meals and snacks, encouraging outdoor play, and assisting with light household duties related to the children when time permits.
Typical Day
Your day will begin with spending some time playing at home and helping mum with the youngest child, before taking the eldest child to the morning and afternoon activities. Late afternoon will include a bit more time playing at home.
- Monday: Ballet at Maroubra Tutu Studios (walking distance)
- Friday: Gymnastics at Des Renford Leisure Centre (walking distance)
Housekeeping
Light duties related to the children, including:
- Keeping children's play areas tidy
- Preparing snacks and meals for the eldest child
- Children's laundry on occasion
Driving
Driving is highly desirable, given that the eldest child will be spending most of the day at activities and outings. Family vehicle will be provided, however own vehicle can be used, if preferred.
The Ideal Nanny
The family are looking for someone who is:
- Warm, playful and energetic
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Engaging and genuinely passionate about working with young children
- Happy to encourage learning through play and outdoor adventures
- Able to confidently manage routines for a preschool-aged child
- Has experience with infants
Requirements
- Childcare qualifications preferred
- 3+ years previous experience as a nanny or working in childcare
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Excellent references
- Non Smoking
