Part-Time Nanny – Narrandarah, ACT

Contract Term: 2 years minimum
Pay: From $40–$45 per hour
Hours and Days:
2 days per week
Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00am – 6:00pm (flexible finish time)
About the Family
A warm and welcoming family in Narrandarah is seeking a caring, bubbly, trustworthy, and loving nanny to care for their 17 month old daughter.
The family values kindness, honesty, communication, understanding, and respect, and is looking for a nanny who shares these values. ]They are seeking someone who can provide gentle guidance and support as she continues to learn and develop in a positive and nurturing environment.
Their child is a happy, well-loved 17-month-old who thrives with routine, engagement, and outdoor exploration. Her typical day includes a morning outing or activity, a 2–3 hour nap, and afternoon outdoor play or a walk, weather permitting.
The Role
The primary focus of this role is providing attentive, loving care while supporting the child's daily routine, wellbeing, and developmental milestones.
Responsibilities may include:
- Following and maintaining her daily routine
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities and play
- Supporting emotional development through gentle and consistent guidance
- Taking her on outings such as walks, playground visits, and local activities
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks for the child
- Driving her to ballet lessons - this is a role requirement
- Occasional care for the child outside standard hours, as agreed
Household Duties
Child-related duties will be the priority. During nap times or when appropriate, assistance with light household tasks would be appreciated, including:
- Tidying children's toys and play areas
- On occasion, Child's meal preparation
- Laundry
- General light household tidying
- Running occasional errands
- Preparing a family meal on rare occasions

Requirements
- 3+ years previous nanny or childcare experience preferred
- Childcare qualifications highly regarded
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Strong English communication skills and also a bonus if you speak another language
- Non-smoker
- Drivers licence and own vehicle (child seat will be provided and installed and car cleaning paid for) Will need to take her to ballet lessons weekly
