Full-Time Nanny – Huntleys Cove, NSW

Start Date: 4 January 2027
Contract Term: 6 months initially
Pay: From $40 per hour

Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:00am – 6:00pm
The parents' work schedules may occasionally allow for some flexibility. Mum or Dad may finish work earlier or leave later on certain days, with any changes communicated at least a few weeks in advance where possible.

The Role

This warm and fun-loving family in Huntleys Cove, NSW is seeking a calm, playful and laid-back nanny to provide loving and attentive care for their baby girl as she reaches approximately six months of age.
The role will focus on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for the baby throughout the day, following her individual feeding and sleeping routines and supporting her development through play, outdoor time and age-appropriate activities.
The family enjoys having fun and works hard, and they are looking for someone who will fit naturally into their warm and inclusive household.

Role Responsibilities

Providing warm, attentive and nurturing care for the baby
Following the baby's feeding and sleep routines
Engaging the baby in age-appropriate play and activities
Taking the baby to the nearby park and enjoying outdoor time
Supporting the baby's development through play, books and interaction
Preparing simple meals and age-appropriate solids for the baby
Managing baby's laundry
Keeping the baby's areas tidy and organised
Communicating openly with the parents about the baby's routine and development

Requirements

3+ years previous professional experience caring for babies is highly desirable
Strong understanding of infant routines and development
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Excellent references
Non Smoker

Typical Day

A typical day will revolve around the baby's individual routine and may include:

Morning play and age-appropriate activities
A walk or outing to the nearby park
Preparing and serving meals/solids
Bottle or milk feeds as required
Supporting the baby's nap routine
Afternoon play and interaction
Baby's laundry and light tidying during suitable quiet periods

The family is happy for the nanny to use their initiative and create a fun, engaging day based around the baby's needs.

Family Values

The family has a strong focus on inclusivity and family connection. The husband's eldest brother, who has Down syndrome, stays with the family approximately four times a week after work and is an important part of their household.
