Pay: From $40 per hour, negotiable depending on experience

Guaranteed Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Days: Monday to Sunday, with a flexible roster
This is a unique part-time nanny position suited to someone who is genuinely flexible with their availability.
The family are both shift workers, so the nanny's hours will vary from week to week and may include a mixture of daytime and evening shifts, Monday through Sunday. The roster will generally be provided a few weeks in advance, allowing the nanny to plan ahead.
The family is happy to guarantee 25–30 hours per week, with some flexibility around the exact number of hours for the right candidate.
An important part of the role is being comfortable with later shifts and occasionally working past midnight.

The Role

This lovely family in Mount Waverley, VIC is seeking a responsible, caring, patient and punctual nanny to provide reliable care for their 11-month-old baby.
The family are both shift workers and are looking for someone they can trust to provide consistent, nurturing care and give them peace of mind while they are working or away.
The role will involve caring for the baby throughout her daily routines, including feeding, play, naps, bathing and bedtime. The nanny may also be required to collect the baby from daycare on Tuesdays and Fridays at approximately 6:00pm.
This position would suit an experienced nanny who is comfortable working independently, communicates well with parents and is genuinely flexible with their availability.

Role Responsibilities

Providing warm, attentive and nurturing care for the baby
Feeding and preparing simple meals for the baby
Engaging the baby in age-appropriate play and activities
Supporting nap routines
Bathing and assisting with the evening routine
Supporting the baby's sleep routine during late shifts
Collecting the baby from daycare on Tuesdays and Fridays at approximately 6:00pm when required
Keeping the baby's play areas and belongings tidy
Completing the baby's laundry
Providing occasional care later into the evening and past midnight
Feeding the family cat occasionally if required
Maintaining open and reliable communication with the parents

Requirements

3+ years previous experience caring for babies is highly desirable
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Excellent references
Experience with sleep routines and infant care would be highly regarded

Driving

Driving is optional.
The baby's daycare is less than 1km from the family home and is within walking distance. If the nanny chooses to drive for daycare pick-up, they will need their own vehicle.
The nanny will not be required to use a family car.

Pets

The family has a cat. The nanny may occasionally be asked to feed the cat, but no other pet care is required.
