Part-Time Nanny – Coburg, VIC

Contract Term: 3 months to start with - potential to extend long term
Pay: From $40 per hour
Days: 4 days per week
Days & Hours:
4 days between Mon - Fri 3pm - 7pm
(Flexible on the days of the week for the right candidate)
Occasional weekend help required and longer days in school holiday times

- Newborn, 5 yr old and 3 yr old
The Role
This warm and close-knit family in Coburg, VIC are seeking a young, energetic and nurturing nanny to provide support with their 2 older children in the afternoon while also assisting with the Mum occasionally with the newborn.
The successful nanny will be confident caring for newborns and toddlers/preschoolers, with a calm and emotionally intelligent approach to supporting children through their different stages of development.
The role will include helping the children get ready in the morning, preparing a light breakfast, assisting with hair and bags, completing school drop-offs and then returning home to care for the baby and assist with light household duties.
The family is looking for someone with a positive "can-do" attitude who is genuinely engaged with children and able to create a safe, calm and supportive environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Providing warm, attentive and nurturing care
- Confidently caring for children at newborn and toddler/preschool stages
- Supporting the afternoon/evening routine
- Pick up the children from school
- Supporting swimming activities where appropriate
- Engaging children in age-appropriate play and activities
- Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and helping them regulate their emotions
- Preparing simple snacks and light meals for the children
- Creating a safe, calm and positive environment
- Communicating openly with the parents
- Supporting the children's independence and individual interests
- Assisting with children's laundry
- Tidying children's bedrooms and play areas
- Cleaning up after the children
- Assisting with groceries and small errands occasionally

Requirements
- Childcare qualifications preferred
- 3+ years previous experience caring for newborns and older children is essential
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Excellent references
- Full driver's licence and own car preferred - Family car can be made available
- Confident swimmer highly preferred
