Contract Term: Long Term Permanent role - 2 years would be great
Pay: From $40 per hour

Days & Hours

Current expected hours are:

Wednesday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Thursday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm

The Role

This lovely, close-knit family is seeking a kind, patient and caring nanny to provide warm and engaging care for their 15-month-old son.
The child is an active toddler, so the family is looking for someone energetic who genuinely enjoys getting out and about with little ones. The nanny will ideally take the child out each morning for a walk, library visit or other age-appropriate outing, helping him burn off some energy before returning home for meals and his midday nap.
The role will involve following the child's established routine, including meals, bottles, naps, outdoor play and plenty of opportunities for learning and exploration. During the child's nap, there may also be an opportunity to assist with some light household tasks.
The family would love to find someone who can become a trusted and valued part of their family over the longer term.

Role Responsibilities

Providing attentive, nurturing care for the child
Taking the child out for walks, library visits and other local outings
Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
Preparing and serving meals and snacks
Following the child's nap and bottle routine
Supporting his development through play, conversation, books and exploration
Encouraging plenty of active outdoor time
Light laundry and household tidying during nap time when possible
Loading and unloading the dishwasher
Keeping the child's play and living areas tidy
Communicating openly with Mum and Dad about the child's day and routine

Requirements

A childcare qualification is ideally preferred
3+ years previous professional experience caring for toddlers is highly desirable
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Excellent references
Experience with toddler routines and development
Full Drivers licence (Preferred so as the nanny can take the child out for local activities and outings such as the library)
