Part-Time Nanny – St Leonards, NSW

Start Date: Mid September (Flexible for the right candidate)
Contract Term: Long term role /permanent
Pay: $50 per hour

Hours and Days:

1 day per week
Tuesday - 9am - 5pm

There is potential for the hours to increase in 2027, with the role possibly transitioning into a more full-time position if this suits both the nanny and the family. The family is open to chatting with candidates about their availability and discussing what may work best for everyone.

About the Family

A small and welcoming family based in St Leonards, NSW, is seeking a caring and trustworthy nanny to care for their gorgeous 5-month-old son. The family is looking for someone who can confidently support his daily routine while providing a nurturing, enriching, engaging and safe environment where he can feel secure, learn and grow.

The Role

The primary focus of the role is providing attentive and loving care for a happy and growing 5-month-old boy while supporting his daily routine and developmental milestones.
Responsibilities may include:

Engaging in age-appropriate play and developmental activities
Supporting naps, meals and daily routines
Helping him transition to solid food
Reading, singing and encouraging early learning
Preparing and serving meals and snacks for the child
Taking the child on walks and outings where appropriate
Maintaining a safe and stimulating environment
Providing regular communication and updates to parents

Household Duties

Childcare will always be the priority; however, during nap times or when appropriate, assistance with light household tasks would be appreciated, including:

Tidying toys and play areas
Preparing and cleaning up after meals for the child
Child-related laundry
General light household tidying

The Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone who is:

Considerate, loving and nurturing
Trustworthy and reliable
Patient and attentive
Experienced with baby development
Confident supporting routines
Someone who can bring humour and fun into his daily activities
A strong communicator
Speaking Armenian would be a bonus, but not a requirement
Someone who is musical would be a bonus, but not a requirement

Requirements

3+ years previous nanny or childcare experience, with children 4 - 8 months old
Childcare qualifications highly regarded
Current Working With Children Check
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Strong English communication skills and also a bonus if you speak Armenian
Non-smoker
