Full Time Nanny – Manly, NSW

Contract Term: Indefinite / Long-Term Permanent Role
Pay: From $40–45 per hour depending on experience
Schedule: Approximately 34 hours per week during school terms
Days & Hours:
- Monday: 5:45am – 8:45am & 3:00pm – 7:00pm
- Tuesday: 5:45am – 8:45am & 3:00pm – 8:00pm
- Wednesday: 5:45am – 8:45am & 3:00pm – 8:00pm
- Thursday: 5:45am – 8:45am & 3:00pm – 7:00pm
- Friday: 5:45am – 10:00am
School Holidays:
Hours transition to longer daytime shifts, with additional evening babysitting opportunities available if desired.
The Role
A professional family in Manly, NSW are seeking a long term nanny for their school aged children (11 and 9 years). The role centres around supporting the family before and after school. Responsibilities include preparing breakfast and lunchboxes, assisting with morning routines, school drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups, transporting the children to their various activities, helping with homework, preparing healthy dinners, keeping on top of children's laundry and uniforms, running errands, walking the family dog and helping maintain a well-organised household. A detailed weekly schedule can be provided to shortlisted candidates.
Typical Day
- Morning and afternoon care of both children
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Driving to extracurricular activities
- Assisting with homework and reading practice
- Preparing lunchboxes and nutritious family dinners
- Managing school uniforms and children's laundry
- Running errands (groceries, parcels, dry cleaning etc.)
- Walking the family dog
- General tidying and organisation of children's areas and shared household spaces
- Loading/unloading the dishwasher and light household duties
Ideal Nanny
The family is looking for a nanny who is:
- Highly reliable and organised
- Warm, friendly and confident in a busy household
- Proactive and able to take initiative
- Comfortable communicating with grandparents, teachers and other parents
- An excellent communicator with a genuine love for working with children
- Looking for a long-term role and becoming an important part of the family
Driver Requirements
- Full driver's licence essential
- Family vehicle provided, however the nanny may use their own safe and reliable vehicle if preferred
- Confident and experienced driver required due to regular school runs and extracurricular activities
Pets
- One friendly family dog.
- Ideally, the nanny will enjoy taking the dog for walks or bringing him along to suitable outings where possible.
Requirements
- Childcare qualifications preferred
- 3+ years experience caring for school-aged children as a nanny or a childcare related role
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Excellent references
- Non Smoker
- Full Drivers Licence and confident driver with a clean driving record (Car provided whilst at work)
Anything Else
This role involves a significant amount of driving, so the successful nanny must be a confident and capable driver who is comfortable navigating busy roads and transporting the children safely to and from school and activities. There is flexibility in the structure of the role for the right candidate, including the possibility of splitting the week between two nannies if required.
