We are seeking an experienced, happy, nurturing and organised nanny to assist a lovely family in Gladesville. The nanny will be responsible to assist the mother with the 4 children(5, 3 yrs and 8 month old baby twins) though predominantly the nanny will care for just the 8 month old twins.

The nanny will be required to help care for the 4 children, though predominantly for the twins.  An ideal carer needs to have a bubbly/happy personality , nurturing and have had experience caring for babies.  Be able to multitask to get things done while putting the children’s needs first.

The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows 

  • Help care for the children
  • Provide routine and structure
  • Help get the babies settled and in kept in routine
  • Play and engage with the children
  • Assist with light household duties i.e.General tidying up of things around the house – eg wiping down the kitchen benches, tidying up toys
  • Cook family meals and prepare baby food
  • Pick up the oldest from school (occasionally)
  • Take the older two to activities (occasionally)
  • Help take the children to swimming lessons
  • Washing – Folding and putting clothes away
  • Change bed sheets and remake beds
  • Run errands (occasionally)
  • Grocery Shopping (occasionally)

Work Type: Full Time / 3 Days – 12 hours

Start: 19 Jan 2020

Contract length: 6 months – permanent – option to extend

Pay: $30 -35 per hour depending on experience

Days and Times

Monday       1.00pm – 5.00pm

Tuesday       1.00pm- 5.00pm

Thursday    2.00pm – 6.00pm

Extra hours may be available in the mornings, possibly other afternoons or on weekends, evenings. In school holidays the same amount of hours can be offered, potentially more hours.

Flexible on days and times though 3 afternoons a week needed.

The family’s expectations from their nanny are –

  • Childcare qualification  (Not essential)
  • 3 years Nanny or child care experience and or mothers help experience
  • Baby experience
  • Calm and happy personality
  • Motivated
  • Nurturing and Empathetic
  • Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
  • Drivers Licence though not essential
  • Have a current working with children’s check number
  • Display strong communication skills
  • To be fit, healthy and active
