Part-Time Nanny – Randwick, NSW

Pay: From $45 per hour
Hours and Days:
3 days per week
Tues, Thurs and Fri 12pm - 8pm
About the Family
A very friendly and welcoming family in Randwick with a 2-year-old, 4-year-old and newborn twins who love spending time together as a family and enjoy keeping busy. We value good communication, punctuality and reliability, and believe in building a loving relationship with our children while also maintaining clear boundaries and positive discipline. We are looking for someone who would like to become a valued and long-term part of our family ☺️ We also have a 5-year-old Groodle, Sunny. He has a dog walker twice a week, but if the nanny is comfortable and has some spare time during the day, Sunny would love the occasional quick walk. This is completely optional and not a requirement of the role.
The Role
The primary focus of the role will be providing support with the newborn twins while the older children are with their Grandmother or at preschool.
Responsibilities may include:
- Helping Mum with the care and routine of the twins
- Assisting with the dinner routine when the older children arrive home
- Supporting bath time and the evening routine with the older children
- After 4 months, caring for the twins while Mum spends time with the older children at after-school activities
Household Duties
Childcare will always be the priority; however, during nap times or when appropriate, assistance with light household tasks will be required, including:
- Laundry
- Cleaning surfaces, toys, etc.
- Unpacking groceries
- Taking rubbish out (bins are located in the garage of the building)
- Other general daily housekeeping
- Cooking preparation for the older children
- General cooking preparation for the whole family
- Occasional walking of Sunny (not a requirement)
The Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for someone who is:
- Caring, loving and nurturing
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Patient and attentive
- Experienced in caring for newborn babies
- Experienced with twins would be a bonus
- Experienced in supporting toddler development
- Confident supporting daily routines
- A strong communicator
- Comfortable working alongside Mum
- Able to show initiative
- Comfortable around animals
Requirements
- 3+ years previous nanny or childcare experience preferred
- Childcare qualifications highly regarded
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Strong English communication skills
- Driver’s licence preferable but not a requirement
- Non-smoker
