A professional and loving family in Casuarina, Northern NSW are seeking a nurturing, mature, experienced and confident nanny to assist with the household and care for 2 girls (8 and 6yrs of age)
A nanny that is experienced in early childhood, is active, responsive, attentive, open to engaging and having fun with the child, spending time indoors and outdoors and providing stimulating and creative activities which will support and nurture the child’s learning milestones and development.
A nanny that is reliable, honest and can follow routines and structure the day. The family are looking for a nanny who will build a lovely bond with their beautiful little girl and become part of a loving family. Someone who has a genuine passion for child care and is a hard worker.
The nanny must be comfortable with the parents working from home. Home office is away from play areas so it won’t interfere with nanny and child time.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the child
- Follow the child’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate creative activities to assist in the child’s development
- Take the child out for walks/playground/parks etc
- Preparation of meals and snacks for the child, occasional evening family meal prep
- Laundry – Fold clothes, occasional hang of clothes (rare)
- Light household duties – Cleaning up after the child, light clean of house,kitchen ,tidy dishes, clean and put away, Floors vacuumed/mopped if needed (unlikely)
Start Date: ASAP ( Flexible for the right candidate)
Contract: Permanent – 6 months initially with the option to extend long term – ongoing
Pay: From $35-40 per hour depending on experience
Note: Driving essential – Full Drivers licence required
The days and normal hours are – 25-30 hours per week
Monday – Friday
12pm–5pm / 1pm-6pm (25hrs) or likely 12pm-6pm (30hrs)
Could be flexible at times to vary the hours eg. 7am – 1pm
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny or household manager experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Able to cook healthy nutritious family meals
- Able to swim
- Display strong communication skills and speak good english
- Full Drivers Licence and clean driving record (To drive family vehicle)
