A professional and loving family in Parkdale, VIC are seeking an experienced and reliable nanny to assist with the household and care for their children (11yrs, 10yrs and twins 7yrs).
You will need to be energetic, able to work with the children’s routines and have good organizational skills to manage the busy afternoons. Experience supporting children to manage afternoon activities and homework would be beneficial.
Reliability, flexibility, and communication skills are also valued.
The role will mostly consist of arriving at the home to complete light household tasks before picking the children up from school and transporting them to individual activities. Upon returning home you will engage with the children in some down time before working on homework and assisting where needed around the home.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To supervise the children
- Follow the children’s routine
- Pick up from school
- Transport to after school activities
- Light household duties i.e. – packing/unpacking dishwasher, bench wipe down, vacuum, tidying rooms and toys
- Meal preparation and laundry for the family if time allows or if extra hours are wanted
- Grocery shop (help with the online order once a week)
- Assist with homework
- Walk the family dog if time allows (beautiful 12 month old Cavoodle)
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 12+ months – permanent / long term
Pay: $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience
Note: Full Drivers Licence required
The days and normal hours are:- 4 afternoons – 12 to 20 hours per week. (negotiable hours for the right candidate)
Tuesday – Friday
Additionally Mondays every other week if the nanny is available.
More hours can be offered if the nanny is happy to come in 2 – 3 hours before school pick up to help with household chores and meal prepping. Full days can be offered in the school holidays, also hours at the weekends/evenings adhoc.
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny or childcare experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Display strong communication skills and speak good English
- Full licence/good driving record (no provisional licences)
- Non-smoker/vaper
- Basic cooking skills
- Comfortable with animals
