A professional family in Oatley, NSW are seeking a young, energetic and nurturing nanny to assist in the care of their 10 month old baby boy.
The family is looking for someone who is organized, trustworthy, responsible, and reliable and is able to care for the baby throughout the day and follow routines.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young babies is highly advantageous for this role.
The family are looking forward to a nanny becoming a part of their family and building a lovely bond with the children.
The family do have an older child (3years of age) who attends daycare most of the day.
The nanny must be comfortable with one parent working from home.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage in age-appropriate activities to assist in development
- Take the baby out for walks to the park, library, and to activities when required
- Children’s laundry
- Cook and prepare meals and snacks for the children
- Light household duties i.e. general tidying up after the baby, emptying/loading dishwasher etc.
- Grocery shop (occasionally)
Start date: Mid June 2024
Long Term/Permanent Role
Pay: From $36 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours are:- 1 day – 8 hours per week
Monday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Casual / Adhoc Fridays also available occasionally if this suits the nanny
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in childcare
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience
- Have a current First Aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working With Children’s check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- Nonsmoking
- Full driver’s licence and clean driving record (own car preferred but not essential)
- Basic cooking skills
