A professional family in Diamond Creek, Victoria are seeking a nurturing, calm and trustworthy nanny to assist in the care of their two children (2yr old girl and 11 month old baby boy).
The family is looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to care for the children throughout the day and follow routines.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young babies and toddlers is highly advantageous for this role.
The family are looking forward to a nanny becoming a part of their family and building a lovely bond with the children
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the children
- Follow the children’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the children’s development.
- Take out for walks/to the park and activities when required
- Children’s laundry
- Cook and prep meals and snacks for the children and prep a family meal once a week.
- Light household duties ie general tidying up after the children
- Grocery shop and run errands (occasionally)
Start date: Mid April 2024
Contract: 12+ months- Permanent/long term
Pay: From $35-40 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours are:- 2 days – 20 hours per week
Tuesday and Wednesday or Thurs 7.30/8am – 5/5.30pm
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- Non smoking
- Full drivers licence and clean driving record
- Basic cooking skills
- Comfortable with dogs (The family has 2 small dogs)
