A happy and loving family in Elizabeth Bay are seeking a calm, nurturing and responsible nanny to assist with the care of their newborn baby boy (2 months old).
The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys their role as a nanny, is patient, honest, safe and responsible and is able to care for the baby and household throughout the day.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/newborn babies is highly important for this role.
The nanny must be comfortable with the parents being at home.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage age-appropriate activities to assist in development
- Take the baby out for walks and to the park/playground
- Light household duties i.e. keeping the kitchen clean and tidy after use. Any extra assistance you can provide the family in this area will be greatly appreciated
- Wash and sterilise bottles
- Family laundry
- Grocery shopping (occasional)
- Prepare and cook a family meal on Mondays and Thursdays
- Feed the dog
Start Date: May 2024
Contract Length: 12 + months permanent/long term
Pay: $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours are:- 4 days – 22 hours per week
Monday 8am – 6pm
Tuesday 12pm -6pm
Wednesday 8am – 6pm
Thursday 12pm – 6pm
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in childcare
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience (below 6 months of age)
- Have a current First Aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- Nonsmoking
- Up to date with all vaccinations
- Able to cook
- Fit, healthy and active
- Comfortable with dogs
