A professional family in Carnegie, Victoria are seeking a nurturing, organised and trustworthy nanny to assist in the care of their boys (2yr old and 3month old).
The family is looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to care for the children throughout the day and follow routines and be authorative when necessary.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young babies/infant sleep training and toddlers is highly advantageous for this role.
The family are looking forward to a nanny becoming a part of their village and to add another confident caregiver for the children to learn from.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the children
- Follow the children’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the children’s development.
- Drop off/pick up eldest from day care when required and take to activities or on outings
- Cook and prep meals and snacks for the children
- Assist with dishes, general house tidying, a few loads of washing/folding and putting away.
- Grocery shop and run errands (occasionally)
Start date: April 2024
Contract: Long term permanent
Pay: $40 p/h depending on experience – Must have an ABN
The days and normal hours are:- 3 days – Approx 30 hours per week
Monday 7.30am-5.30pm
Wednesday 7.30am -5.30pm
Thursday 10am or 12pm – 8.00pm
There is some flexibility on hours /days in the above for the right candidate
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience (Below 6 months of age)
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- Non smoking
- Full drivers licence and clean driving record – own car (Mileage and petrol to be reimbursed).
- Comfortable with dogs (The family has a golden retriever) – no walking required
