A professional and loving family in Paddington are seeking a nurturing, fun & experienced nanny to care for their two happy and social girls, aged 1 & 3.5.
The nanny must be comfortable with mum working from home in a separate part of the house.
The family has a friendly pet dog so the nanny must be comfortable with pets.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows-
- Play and engage with the children
- Establish all routines
- Engage in creative, fun and educational play
- Take the children to activities
- Forward planning of nutritious meals for the children
- Prepare a variety of healthy meals/snacks
- Occasionally cook for the whole family
- Tidying of play areas and generally keeping things clean
- Grocery shopping (occasionally)
- Overall contributing to the smooth running of the household
- Assist with some light household duties, washing and folding family laundry
- Generally keeping main areas clean and tidy
Start date: August, 2023
Contract Length: 6+ Months, possibly longer
Pay: $35 – $45 per hour depending on experience
The days and normal hours are:- 2 days – 19 hours
Tuesday 8.00am – 5.30pm
Thursday 8.00am – 5.30pm
Potential of extra hours – (occasional longer days, overnight stays and weekend work)
The family’s expectations from their nanny are-
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years nanny/child care experience
- Childcare or medical qualifications
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Display strong communication skills
- High level of English, second language preferred but not essential
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Confident cook
- Honest and reliable
- Non smoking/vaping
