A fun loving and busy professional family living in Bondi Beach are seeking an energetic, calm and nurturing nanny to care for their 4 year old girl and also to contribute to the smooth running of the household.
The role will consist of after school pick up Mon – Thurs, full day on Friday with the 4 year old and if available a few extra mornings per week as well to assist with drop off and some household errands.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the child
- Follow the child’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the child’s development
- Take the child out on outings to the park, library , swimming etc
- Pick up the child from preschool
- Take to after school activities when required (ie Ballet on Tues)
- Meal prep/cook meals for the child
- Folding Washing
- Grocery Shopping (Picking up a few things occasionally)
- Run errands (Occasionally)
Start date: 27th March 2023
Contract Length: Long term/permanent /ongoing
Pay: $40 per hour depending on experience
The day and normal hours are:-5 days – 32-35 hours per week
(Open to having 2 nannies to share this role)
Monday 3.30pm – 7.30pm
Tuesday 3.30pm – 7.30pm
Wednesday 3.30pm – 7.30pm
Thursday 3.30pm – 7.30pm
Friday 7.00am – 7.00pm
Note.. that in addition to the hours above the family would ideally like someone who could do 2 mornings a week as well; they are flexible as to which mornings. – ie the hours above plus say Wed 7am-9am and Thu 7am-12pm – the extra hours would involve some house manager style (organizing trades etc.)
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3 years + experience as a nanny or working in child care/household manager
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current working with children’s check number
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Non smoking
- Swims
- Full Drivers licence and clean driving record
