A loving family in Gladesville, NSW are seeking a proactive and energetic nanny to care for their two children (5 yr old girl and 3 yr old boy).
An attentive, proactive and energetic nanny that is experienced in engaging and having fun with the children, spending time indoors and outdoors and providing stimulating and creative playful activities which will support the children’s learning milestones and development.
A nanny that is reliable, responsible and trustworthy. The family are looking for a nanny who can build a lovely bond with their family and support the day to day running of the household.
The eldest child is at school throughout the day and the youngest child attends pre school on a Tuesday.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the children
- Follow the children’s routines
- Drop/Pick children up from daycare/kindy when required
- Play and engage age appropriate creative activities to assist in the children’s development
- Take the children out to activities or ie swimming, tennis, park, playground etc.
- Prepare meals and snacks for the children
- Prepare a family meal at least once a week
- Laundry – Hanging out, folding and putting away the children’s laundry
- Light household duties – Generally keeping main areas and surfaces of the home clean and tidy and unpacking and stacking dishwasher, putting toys away, quick vacuum. Any extra assistance to help the parents out would be greatly appreciated.
- Grocery shopping – adhoc
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12+ months – Long term permanent
Pay: $35-40 per hour depending on experience plus super
The days and normal hours are:- 4 days – up to 40 hours per week
Tuesday – Friday
7.15am – 5.30pm
Please Note – Tuesday can be a split day if this is more suitable for the nanny as both children are at preschool/kindy on this day and a full day is not needed but hours can be negotiable for the right person and if you would like more hours on this day it will include a few more household chores/errands etc.
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 3+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Child care qualification (Preferred)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Current First Aid
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- To be fit, healthy and active
- Non smoking
- Up to date with all vaccinations
- Full drivers licence and clean driving record
